When I was eight, I went with my parents and brother on a trip around Australia. There was this one point somewhere in the Northern Territory when my parents were talking to an older couple, one of whom fancied himself as a photographer. I remember being suitably impressed by his camera, but very confused when, while admiring a large waterfall, he stood so some trees were between him and the falls to take pictures. I didn’t understand why you wouldn’t take the pictures from a clear vantage point a few metres hence, so as to get a proper view of the waterfalls without the trees being in the way.

Looks like I’ve come full circle.

  1. you are a funny boy the situations or events you remember, they also has a solar panel to dry fruit to eat when they were in the outback of the outback and an arrangement on the front of the 4Wheel drive to do the washing as they drove over hill and dale. x Mum
